মঙ্গলবার (৮ ডিসেম্বর) গণমাধ্যমে পাঠানো এক বিবৃতিতে হেফাজত মহাসচিব এ উদ্বেগের কথা জানান।
তিনি বলেন, আমরা গভীর উদ্বেগের সঙ্গে লক্ষ্য করছি, ইসলামবিদ্বেষী একটি অশুভ শক্তি আলেম-ওলামা ও তাওহিদী জনতার বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যাচার, কটূক্তি ও আক্রমণাত্মক বক্তব্য দিয়ে যাচ্ছে। দেশব্যাপী ওয়াজ-মাহফিলে প্রশাসনিক বাধাদানের ঘটনাও ঘটছে।
এর ধারাবাহিকতায় হেফাজত আমীরসহ দেশবরেণ্য তিনজন আলেমের বিরুদ্ধে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ মঞ্চ নামের একটি ভূঁইফোড় সংগঠন রাষ্ট্রদ্রোহিতার মিথ্যা মামলা দায়ের করেছে।
আমরা অবিলম্বে এই মিথ্যা মামলা প্রত্যাহারসহ ওয়াজ-মাহফিলে বাধাদান এবং আলেম-উলামাদের বিরুদ্ধে সব অপপ্রচার বন্ধের জোর দাবি জানাচ্ছি।
আল্লামা কাসেমী বলেন, বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানে নাগরিকদের ধর্মীয় স্বাধীনতা নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে। সুতরাং ধর্মের সঠিক ব্যাখ্যাদান ও গোমরাহীর পথ পরিহারের আহ্বান জানানো আলেম সমাজের সাংবিধানিক অধিকার এবং ধর্মীয় কর্তব্য। কোন ব্যক্তি বিশেষ, সংগঠন বা সরকার আলেমদের এই কর্তব্য পালনে হস্তক্ষেপ করার বৈধতা রাখে না।
হেফাজত মহাসচিব বলেন, সরকারের সঙ্গে কোনো প্রকার বৈরিতা সৃষ্টি হেফাজতের উদ্দেশ্য নয়। কিন্তু আমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছি, ইসলামবিদ্বেষী গোষ্ঠী সরকারকে আলেমদের সঙ্গে সংঘাতে জড়াতে ভুল প্ররোচনা দিচ্ছে এবং সেইসঙ্গে সরকারদলীয় সংগঠনগুলোর কিছু নেতাও ওলামায়ে কেরামের বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্বেষমূলক বক্তব্য দিয়ে যাচ্ছে।
আমরা প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও সরকারের সংশ্লিষ্টদের প্রতি আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি, কোন ষড়যন্ত্রকারী মহল যেন উস্কানী দিয়ে দেশের শান্তি শৃঙ্খলা ও স্থিতিশীলতা বিনষ্ট করার সুযোগ না পায়।
